Excellent review of this book. I am bewildered that it's going to take years to get through this process. The trial evidence has been so totally discredited. Home Secretary intervention?

Given the nature of the crimes concerned, It would be political suicide for any Home Secretary to get involved in this. It will have to go through the full process toward ordering a retrial.

There is very little prospect of a retrial. There is simply very little case to answer and the only prosecution witness has been throughly discredited. The bigger issues beyond the trial is the consequences of neglect and the willingness to cover-up.

Is there really any support for the convictions amongst the public?
