Does anybody on here know what the current state of our squad is with regards the number of "home grown" players we have at the club that could actually feature in our match day squad.
The maximum of non home grown "senior" players we can have is 17 with the remainder of the possible 25 being home grown, U21s do not count as senior so irrelevant if home grown or not.
It seems that a lot of the people leaving Ipswich seem to have ticked that home grown box so I wonder if we are getting close to the point where we will not be able to register 25 senior players? Might this mean that Cameron stays with us for both his ability and the fact he is home grow?
Genuine question - might not be a big issue at all.
Home grown = trained in England/Wales for 3 seasons before age 21 — not necessarily English / British nor club developed specifically. Bizarrely it seems that Scottish FA registered players are not home grown! [Post edited 5 Aug 14:02]

think of it this way, we need 8 "home grown players" from the following (afaik):-
walton/ o'shea/greaves/furlong/johnson/davis/ taylor/humphreys/clarke/philogene/mehmeti/mcateer/hirst/akpom
i guess it's possible we lose 7 of those, but highly unlikely that we'll replace them *all* with non-home grown players |  |
