No idea - it could well be later on into the season.

I know someone said a couple of weeks back that there was a PL requirement to do it prior to the commencement of the season, but this only seems to relate to notifying the PL of the intended kits for the season.

This needed to be done by 12th June, and would have included submitting physical samples of the kits to the Premier League, so there are definitely examples of the third kit floating around out there.

Perhaps the black/gray kit with red pin-stripes that was doing the rounds before the release of the home and away kits might be something to do with it.
