Ordering food & drink in Sir Alf Ramsey Stand 12:00 - Aug 25 with 766 viewsIpswich_Crazy

I noticed that at the friendlies, the Sir Alf Ramsey stand has touch-screen kiosks, but the Sir Bobby Robson stand does not. Will these touch screen kiosks come to all concourses?

We had them in SBR lower a couple(?) of seasons ago for, I think, about half a season? Selling pints of Estrella as far as I remember. Then they just disappeared without a trace. Not sure why they got rid of them, they were generally quicker than the main queue.

Just to clarify, these were machines that automatically poured you a pint. Not sure what is in the Alf Ramsey currently.

they had the same as them at Forest a couple of seasons ago and they were wasting more beer than served. The plastic cups were splitting. I ended up with 1 and a half pints which was nice.
I believe the south stand has a different system where you order your drinks and then collect them with a token? that's what I was told by someone who went pre season.

Yes. It's like a trashy fast food outlet approach - a screen you scroll through to select your foods or drinks, then pay with your phone/card (because paying with phone's NFC is really not that complicated and most people do it daily) and then grab the printed receipt to go pick it up at the counter.

Ah, that makes more sense. Saw that when I went to see Ajax earlier this year. To be fair, it worked quite well and definitely reduced the time we were waiting.

As an added bonus they also had those 'hot snack food behind a mini door' type machines that you see across the Netherlands.
