Went to toe to toe with an established Premier League team away from home, even with 10 men.

Agree, I know there will be some negativity given results but I was really impressed today. Think it was a very even game but Everton had that slight edge, especially once Fatawu went off.
Outarra looked really solid on the right wing at full back, gave nothing to Grealish and looked decent going forward. Just seemed to lack teeth in the final third but against Everton's defence, most do.
Goal aside didn't even really concern me when passing around at the back which normally gives me the jeepers. Palacios and Lukic pairing looks to improve even more. |  | | |

Agreed we certainly don’t look lost and out of place this time.
If you’d told me we’d win 2 of our first five I’d definitely have taken that. It only feels worse because without the sending off we might have taken a point.

I agree, we're playing with a calmness and confidence that says we know we can compete at this level.
Last time it was with admirable blood and guts, but we're a way better team/squad this time.
A few disappointments today:
Emersonn (who I think has been absolutely fantastic so far) seemed a bit down/overawed.
Enciso and Clarke weren't decisive enough early on when we were the better team.
Generally in the final moment we were a bit indecisive.
But there were periods where we had Everton panicking and hoofing the ball away, and there were also periods where we calmly dominated and probed. Overall, I really enjoyed that today. The win at Palace makes this one easy to take.
Oh yeah - Ouattara is going to be worth £50m easily by the end of the season!  |  |
