Other than Ouattara’s performance. The other aspect of today’s game I liked was O’Neil bringing on two strikers when we were down to 10 men and chasing the game. As much as I love and admire KMc, I’m not sure we would’ve seen a bold call like that even if we had the squad depth to do it. [Post edited 19 Sep 17:30]

I don't think we grasped what formation if any we were playing, which confused Everton and opened the game up. Lots of bits of paper with instructions coming on to the pitch. | | | |

Everton are everything we expected really. Very solid at the back, lightweight going forward and dull to watch. Grealish has lost his mojo and was well marshalled all game. Dewsbury Hall goes round falling and moaning, Barry is an enigma. Plays like a pub player at times but then often in the right place. Probably finish mid-table as they bore the opposition into submission. |  | | |

Everton are solid and unspectacular. Hard to break down. Frustrating that Clarke and Enciso weren’t at their best. Needed some magic to unlock the door | |
