MM has nothing to do with attendances 12:50 - Sep 19 with 1255 viewsWestcountryblue

MM has absolutely nothing to do with attendances. We play competitive football and our style of play is not too dissimilar to other teams in this division with perhaps the exception of Fulham, Middlesborough and Wolves who have players that allow them to play expansive, 'pretty' football.

We've won 5 out of 7 games this season so far and have 5-6 academy graduates included in our matchday squad on a week to week basis. Football has changed, we can't play expansive football without A) players like Bish and Huws and B) without a massive overhaul and reinvestment in our squad. In the 90's it was completely different...football, coaching methods, money, transfers etc.

The problem is we have an old and tired business model....and even now, the club still has an air that it belongs in the Premierhship....which is reflected in it's pricing. The upper management of ITFC are totally out of touch with fan base and some of the innovative ticket pricing models that some clubs have used sucessfully in the Bundesliga and other clubs in the UK (ironic considering that Marcus Evan's made his money as a ticket tout!).

Some people need to face up to the reality that we can't play free flowing football against the stronger teams in this division as we will get annihilated. Maybe we can start to entertain this idea once Celina is fully fit, Webster returns, Huws is fit and Bish is back up and running...but i think MM is doing a great job at the moment with the players he has at his disposal.

The point of football is to win. His job is to win matches. If he doesn't get good results no board is going to say oh well, we play nice football so who cares. Well, maybe Arsenal...

Truly impaired.

Pretty much, although i do think Mick has made more of an effort this season to play passing football. It was unfortunate that Dozzer got injured, as i think he would played an integral part in the way we wanted to play this season.

We can't play decent football against the side that is bottom of the league, low on confidence and hasn't won a game either though. The playing decent football concept is a myth under MM.

We won 2-0....without key players !

Personally, i'd much prefer to win than 'trying' to play football and getting humped like we did a few years ago when we were playing a bunch of loanees and Irish midgets.
