FCA investigation into the TSB upgrade debacle 09:48 - Jun 6 with 939 views | Guthrum | While it would be nice to find out why and where the c0ck-up actually happened, the only outcome will be a big fine - which will weaken the bank, be passed on to the customers and won't actually provide any sort of compensation for the trouble. Doesn't seem particularly useful.

FCA investigation into the TSB upgrade debacle on 10:39 - Jun 6 with 858 views | CoachRob | The FCA won't find out what happened they are ex-bankers not IT experts. The bank has a fiduciary duty to its shareholders (hence persistence of bonus culture); the customers are irrelevant. I get the feeling people believe these organisation should have a moral compass, they don't, it is short term gain by whatever vehicle, the regulators; FCA, accounting standards and government are clueless to the growing mess in banking once again (see Mark Carney on banking growth).
FCA investigation into the TSB upgrade debacle on 11:39 - Jun 6 with 835 views | Kitman | it probably happened because they were trying to break free from the Lloyds Banking Group IT systems that they were wedded to when they were part of HBOS. One can only guess that the system they bought into was a pile of cak , that and/or the people running it were not up to the mark. Still totally inexcusable. There's a lot of people gone through a lot of worry and misery over this. I can only see the FCA looking at complaint levels and outcomes.. Fair comment about the probable fall out for costs..

Absolutely. Ancient systems, for the use of which they were going to have to pay huge fees. Just completely mishandled, largely by the parent bank, Sabadell. That last was the main drive of my rant. Doesn't help the inconvenienced customers at all.
