Do you think Marcus is giving Hurst till the QPR game? 08:07 - Oct 3 with 172 viewsunstableblue

Swansea away would be a challenge for an experienced manager with a much more costly squad anyway.

One more international break to cement ideas into the team. Now finally with a fit creative midfielder available in Dozzell and the reliable Pennington returning?

Or do you think Marcus may think the international break could give the new man necessary time.

I feel a bit sorry for Hurst. Perhaps he’s out of his depth, his system lacks bite and his refusal to play Donacien is baffling, but the legacy senior players have really really let him down (e.g. Knudsen - our Dane has been error prone and is so ineffective going forward it’s unbelievable), combined with losing Waghorn who he clearly rated and then the his own bargain bucket men in Nolan and Toto have not stepped up (despite showing promise).

Unlike those who formed fully negative views of hurst so early despite some glimmers of improvement and good play - I would give him till QPR. All it would take is a couple of wins against QPR and Millwall and the missing confidence would perhaps rejuvenate. But it does look grim.

Poll: How many points will Town get from 5 (Wat, Boro, Hull, Cov, Hudd)?
