Although our league position was poor when Keane and Jewell left there was quality in the squad. A change in manager was always likely to be enough. This time it won’t be. Guardiola couldn’t keep this team in the championship. We’ve got less than half a team of Championship quality players. Evans won’t invest in January. We’ve had it. We’re down. We do but it needs to almost be on the basis that they’re trying to get us in a position to push for promotion from League One next season. Keeping this squad in the Championship is beyond any manager. | |
