I have written a few times of my YO as she's a feisty young lady of whom I'm very proud. Last week I posted that she'd been promoted to Deputy Head Cadet in Lewisham Volunteer Police Cadets.
At the weekend she was part of Lewisham's Team in a competition between the cadets of all London's 32 Boroughs, and, for the 3rd year running... they came 3rd. They are gutted, and were a bit upset about what they felt was some inconsistency in the judging [sounds like they needed VAR]. Again she received compliments for being able to project her voice confidently, authoratively and very loudly!
Today, she starts her first paid PAYE temporary job. A job she got offered by someone who'd seen her in action [as a first aider] for the Cadets at an event during one of the recent weekends where temperatures were over 25C.
The only downside is I will have to detour via Southbank, Waterloo on the way home tonight. |  |
