Simon Grayson sacked by Blackpool 18:47 - Feb 12 with 1468 viewsDoctor_Earman

Thoroughly deserved imo.

Relieved of his duties after 1 win in 12 in all comps. We've already beaten that by having a 0 wins in 12 games run in all comps this season (unless you count a penalty shootout win against P'boro in the Leasing.com as a win). It's a race between us and Blackpool as the biggest underachievers this season. I had them in my top 6 at the start of the season.
Just goes to show how some clubs with ambition will not tolerate failure, whilst ITFC actively reward it. Sad times.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Another useless manager. Hope Mr. Evans doesn't see this, as he will probably end up here as director of football.

He's probably been on the phone to him with a view to him replacing Lambert in late March/early April.

Simon Grayson seems to be the Lancashire version of Paul Lambert. Got promoted with Preston North End (Norwich City), left the club and failed at a few other clubs such as Sunderland and Bradford City (Aston Villa, Wolves, and Stoke City) before finally making his way over to rivals Blackpool (Ipswich Town) and failing there.

Yes, vast majority of clubs would sack a manager after an abysmal run of results. Three in twenty in All competitions for PL. disastrous. He gets a lovely new deal. Evans really is incompetent.
