Well- that's the first direct impact of Covid on a friend... 14:52 - Apr 28 with 597 viewssparks

Only a matter of time I suppose- but still troubling.

A music pal of mine, in his early seventies, with pre existing conditions galore, had a stroke. Taken to hospital. Got Covid. Recovered without ventilator (happily), went home. Wife got covid.. Still recovering but hopefully all will be well. he is playing guitar again though his vision is screwed up.

I think he got pretty lucky. It is alarming though, that even hospitals, with their specialist arrangements, expertise and kit, cannot keep the non covid emergency sections free from this virus. It really doesnt seem to be a very agressively contagious virus.

The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it. (Sir Terry Pratchett)

On Friday I was in A+E at Ipswich which is now in a different part of the hospital and was waiting on the opposite side of an area where people were being wheeled in and greeted by staff in full face visors etc....been feeling a little cautious and then today in the Coop was immediately behind a nurse at the checkout who is recovering from the virus who coughed and failed to cover her mouth.....nervous times!!
