There are people on this website that love ITFC. We care about the great football club more than anything else in the world. My relationship with my father is built on our shared experiences watching the club since the 1970s. It’s a key link to many important relationships.
The True fans and you know who you are .....fully understand how important promotion is this season. For us it’s do or die. It’s Del Boys....who dares wins... its Bill Shankley’s matter of life and death moment.
For this reason alone our views and commitment to the club should count and we shouldn’t feel guilty for feeling disappointed, worried or even pessimistic given the position the club is in. This is our mental health at stake.
We know our owner can’t buy himself out of the future given salary cap. We know key player contracts are coming to an end this summer, players that many of us love and want to stay at the club. And we know the time for excuses is over as this is the last saloon in terms of operating as a club as we know it.
Given the stakes is it any wonder the manager and players are being pushed to perform better ? Are they so disconnected with their own reality and feelings ? Paul has played in some big games, but for us this is our cup final! And we are sick of losing what is vital to us !
