Phil - does Lambert have performance clauses in his contract? 12:01 - Dec 2 with 286 viewsunstableblue

That allows for early termination?

Clearly we're now past the point of no return in terms of fans relationship with the manager, and the players are clearly being affected by the speculation and vibe around the club.

But Evans may still be loathed to terminate a contract and go into paying Lambert off. I don't sense Lambert is taking the hint and going to walk himself - he perhaps rightly looks at the injuries, the continued possession stats, the league position, the return of players like Drinan, and sees a path to promotion. Whereas even the most sanguine fans have become unconvinced on the coaching and technical ability to unpick teams for goals, albeit the defence seemed more united and effective last night, against a falsely positioned Oxford side.

Any termination clause may be on league position, at stage gates. And frankly we're still 5th. So would be a large pay-out for Marcus.

Perhaps a Dyer, Klugg and Butcher interim team for the season is palatable, as Dyer and Butcher would work for pittance as they already are, so its economic.

Clearly whoever comes in, it needs to be a management team. Taylor is as much to blame as Lambert here in my view.

Poll: How many points will Town get from 5 (Wat, Boro, Hull, Cov, Hudd)?
