Although I posted in support of Kieron Dyer being appointed here:
Many have a concern that he is inexperienced and the club is a shambles. The squad is too large, many are coming to the end of their contracts etc etc. Therefore it would be setting him up to fail.
I find it hard to believe that Nigel Pearson would come. I think he would be attractive to an underachieving Championship club, or even a relegation-threatened Prem club with 10 or 12 games of the season to go. The biggest concern with him is that he has lost his assistant, Craig Shakespeare.
So, putting two and two together and getting 78:
My dream team would be Pearson with Dyer as his assistant manager. That gives Dyer the promotion he deserves, and Pearson a connected assistant who knows the players, the youth players, the club, the fans and the Town very well.
Beat that!
(But I still doubt that Dyer would come...) |  |
