I've always wondered about dropping what seems like relatively small amounts of water on and around bushfires. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's just a public relations exercise?

At what point do we take the (scientifically correct, moron-inspiring) caveat out of these stories, and just say "Wake up humanity, this is what YOU HAVE DONE"?
