We won on goal difference by 1 with a 0-2 Win at Southampton the second goal scored by Basil Acres (my uncle) a right back who played centre forward because of injury to Tom Garneys.

Thank you sharing that. Well done to your uncle, given how close the season was it makes you wonder what would have happened if we’d just missed out. Basil might have won the World Cup for England!
