The Club can confirm the signing of experienced goalkeeper David Button.
David has played more than 400 games since starting his career at Tottenham Hotspur, notably representing the likes of Brentford, Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Bromwich Albion, spending much of his career in the Premier League and Championship.
The 36-year-old spent the 2024/25 season with League One side Reading, making 11 appearances in all competitions, and now joins Town as a free agent on a one-year deal.
It can also be confirmed that, alongside his playing duties, David will support with the development and mentoring of the Club’s young goalkeepers.
This departure seems to be taking a long time I wonder if there is a problem his medical was on Monday you would have thought it would have been announced by now.
It seems strange that Anderiecht announced he had joined but nothing from Town no photo length of contract or price, you would have thought with the talent he is showing they would have.
