I very much doubt it. I suspect (and hope), Cook is drawing up his hit list for the January transfer window, and we will likely see more players leave the club. Ashton has been clear, he wants to see this team firing coming out of that transfer window. That is the target set, and I believe Cook will have them firing by then.
However, if we continue mis-firing throughout December, it could all change. We need a stronger showing in December, else the original plan might get thrown out the window.
P.S There is no doubt McGreal does have form sitting aside and waiting for an opportunity, so it is possible to be a tactical move by him. If this is true, it is hugely unhelpful to Cook right now, as it just undermines him.
