Keeping our heads 13:07 - Feb 27 with 461 views | jayessess | Seems to me like the last 2 games have turned more than anything on our "state of mind" collectively and individually. Two games on the trot that we've created plenty of chances to win the game, barely given the opposition a sniff, but snatched at our opportunities and failed to keep a cool head when it really mattered. Some of that is players in an individual funk (Bonne, Pigott), some of it is collective. We've scored once from our last 39 shots. That's a 2.6% conversion rate. The average for the division is 8.2%, our average for the season is 9.4%, the worst team in the division (Gillingham) is more than twice as efficient as that (5.5%). Statistically, it's unheard of that we're going to continue doing that over the longer term. So for me, the danger is not that we'll keep shooting this badly. Keep making this many chances, we'll start scoring. The danger is that not picking up points starts affecting our wider performance levels. That it dents our morale and the thing that's messed with our shooting boots this week starts affecting everything else. So, the crucial thing is for the manager, players and supporters to keep their heads. Keep doing the right things and the end product will come. We're playing well, we're dominating games, it'll get back on track soon enough if we keep our heads and keep our composure.

100% if we're as dominant in the rest of our games as we were yesterday, then lots of teams will get that hiding.

Keeping our heads on 14:53 - Feb 27 with 327 views | Strimmer | Agree completely. Some commentators in these parts making it far too complicated at the moment. We're not scoring when we should and its costing us points, other than that we're in top nick. Also agree with your sentiment that that *could* swing us towards worse performances, but I can't see it. Ever the optimist maybe but the strikers we've got have scored before, they'll score again. Implications for a PO place another conversation.
