There was a chat on The Athletic pod about player moves this summer ahead of World Cup. Implied not a season for international players to risk moving up pyramid, Nov is too close to establish in a new team and build form from scratch, better to stay put and continue last seasons form in settle club otherwise you may undermine chances. More expecting club fringe players to seek loans and moves down the pyramid to build form and get noticed, Sterling looks to have been a high profile mover by example.
