And let’s give Lincoln some credit.. they marked soooo well, they blocked in that box incredibly well. Energy they put in, they had more desire throughout the first half.
Davis was our best player despite having a real quality Lincoln defender against him. But my word Mr Reliable Donacien was poor, as was Burns really. And Ladapo and Chaplin just didn’t put enough energy and craft into the game.
Harness missed some great chances, but I see why he was kept on, he has a lovely technique and is effective in the hole.
Our subs were good apart from JJ. Edwards is looking really effective at last. And also what more could Jackson do in a few occasions.
But my concern overall apart from the lethargic first half, and the form of a few players, was the lack of ideas when the ball was with Evans in his deeper right hand sized role.
We go again. But hey Derby on Sky on a Friday night will be harder in some sense, but better in many other ways.
