A 2019 'political thriller' about the CIAs used of enhanced interrogation techniques (torture, including waterboarding) in the wake of 9/11, and the agency's attempts to cover up a report being produced on it. It's okay - nothing special, although Adam Driver is excellent as always. I think I preferred The Looming Tower show on Prime a while back, which partially dealt with this subject in a different way. Anyway, it got me thinking - I can understand someone's reasoning in supporting EIT based off the erroneous claims that it helps save lives, especially when there is such collective grief following a national atrocity - but what kind of a psyche must you have to a) be actively involved in administering it, or b) make a load of money off it? I just can't imagine. | |
