It’s not necessarily to take Ladapo apart, he’s a decent striker but it figures if your striker takes a shot it’s more likely he will score than say Morsy, in part down to starting position and quality of opportunity but also of course his ability to put the ball in the net. With that, we need the striker to ensure he’s getting several shots off at goal each game to increase our chances of scoring at all. Those opportunities might be supplied or self created shots. That’s the job, put pressure on the goal AND do all the closing, space creation, defender occupying.. |  |
