for people to report corruption and criminality, an attempt to root out some of the criminals in it's organisation, after recently being labelled institutionally corrupt.

Wonder if the usual apologists for the police are actually recognising the institutional and cultural problems that exist in UK policing and their inability of deal with misconduct. The culture of cover up, of turning a blind eye to corrupt, racist, homophobic colleagues? Of hiding behind "canteen culture" and thus tolerating these attitudes?

Is this just a PR exercise or a genuine change in UK policing? I guess time will tell...
