Amazing that we’re top of the league and form tables, yet still feels like we’ve let a handful of points go over the past month.
We’re clearly a very strong team for the league – and strong favourites to go up. But we’re Ipswich and we’ve had more false dawns than a copy of Razzle so there’s still a certain nervousness around us.
The next 10 games would be a great time to really go on a run and with a couple of home games vs. Plymouth and Weds too. On top of the points haul, a good run now could break the chasers’ spirit and make the season much, much easier. Plymouth, in particular, will really be wobbling if we follow up on it over the next games.
With Aluko and Leigh already back, Evans shortly and Harness a few weeks later, we’re getting players returning who will push us forward. Add in a couple of signings (Forward and CM?) and we’re looking very good.
But again we’re Ipswich. The hope and optimism still feel like pain waiting to happen 😀 |  |
