about today, is not the number of dreadful performances from individuals that McK started and then subsequently refused to sub off in good time, no, the bit that annoys me the most, is chucking Hirst on up front and telling him to play just like Ladapo ffs. I don't rate Ladapo at all, but he is a damned sight better at doing Ladapo, than Hirst is!!!
I expected Hirst to be bombing to the near post, back post, getting in behind etc etc, all the stuff Ladapo doesn't do, but McK clearly doesn't want him doing that, which is mental.
It's the first time I'm questioning our manager since he joined, but he deserves to take some stick for what's gone on recently and he's showing nothing in the locker to turn it around, desperately frustrating, we're crumbling away just like every other season. |  |

He obviously wasn't helped by Harness/Burns today, but he's clearly nowhere near as good a hold up man as Ladapo, so why ask him to play that role? I thought the whole point of getting him in was to do the stuff Ladapo didn't, seems completely insane to me. | |

Well...if I am being honest...its one performance so I'm inclined to give him a little more game time before making decisions like that. | |

I get what you're saying, but in the world of hold up play, Ladapo is right up there, love him or hate him, he's brilliant at that aspect of the game, no question. So, surely you don't buy another forward to replace him with and ask him to be a hold up man, that's mental, hence why I was pretty damned sure the idea was to get Hirst more on the front foot, but that's just not what it looked like today, at all, just weird. | |
