A few random thoughts from yesterday 08:50 - Apr 2 with 1008 views | LegendofthePhoenix | First off - a big shout out for Greg Leigh. I don't know for sure, but wouldn't be surprised if this was the biggest game he's played in. Being on the fringes for 2 months and coming into such a big game in front of 30,000 fans, and he really put a shift in, was totally solid and helped moves to really flow. It is so important that players like him, Jacko, Freddie, Fridge, Edwards, Ball, Humphries are training and preparing like they will be starting every match. And that's what we got with Greg - hat doffed sir. Did we miss Davis? Of course we did - most assists in the League this year, and his corners have given us a real edge. Hope he is back soon. Obviously the Jan transfer window was amazing for us. Our midfield two is just ridiculous for L1. The way we won back so many balls yesterday when out of possession was crazy. Broadhead, Burns, Chaplin - just too good for this league. Hirst is even better than Freddie, who is himself one of the best in L1. Defence is rock solid and playing lovely neat football. The quality throughout this squad - it really is like watching a Premier League team at times- the passing, movement, energy is sublime. Finally all the parts that McKenna has been planning and working on have come together. And although I am not sure I believe the old adage that luck evens itself out over a season - well our luck certainly seems to have changed in recent games. Derby I thought played pretty well for a long spell and if the disallowed goal had stood, it could have panned out differently, so to finally get some decisions going in our favour is a big help. Even the best teams need a bit of luck. Amazing support and atmosphere yesterday. Derby fans were good. But there's no doubt in my mind. We have been the best team in the league all season, and have now gone up another level since January. We are going up. These are the days.

A few random thoughts from yesterday on 09:33 - Apr 2 with 823 views | Bobsthename | About Leigh i think he is a better defender than Davis ,Davis just gives you the edge when attacking but he is a fantastic replacement for when Davis is not fit.
A few random thoughts from yesterday on 09:48 - Apr 2 with 759 views | ArnieM | Two spot on posts for me. The only I’d challenge was their disallowed goal. For me it was the right decision and you only have to watch McGoldrick doing a number on Walton,( something he did all second half whenever they had a corner ). So it was a foul.

The push on Burgess by the Derby number 15 Roberts for me. Burgess a tad dramatic going down and if oil the receiving side I'd be annoyed it was given, but it is a push and Roberts had a good old run up before contact and I think thats what got picked up on. If you look at Roberts goal celebration he knows he made a bit of an error as he isn't totally certain its going to be given My thoughts obvs

*on not oil And 100% agree on the earlier point about Greg Leigh and his performance - and the other squad players who have not let anyone down when coming in Happy Times!

Warne says he was told it was for a push on Walton, which as others have said wasn't much different than happened at other corners, including the one seconds before. However, McGoldrick was offside as he tried to add an extra touch at the far post so should have been flagged, if he wasn't. Decision did come from the linesman from what one of the Derby press told us they'd been told after the game.
