For all the silky football we've played this season, last night was a different kind of performance from us wasn't it? We snapped at Barnsley from the off, Morsy and Luongo played right on the line at times, and by doing so we stopped them getting a foothold in the game at all.
Barnsley had a spell in the middle of the first half where they were getting it wide and putting dangerous crosses in, but other than that we really limited them to scraps.
Feels odd to see us putting in that kind of performance, but it was great to see us show that side of our game. |  |
