I don't have a problem with us playing a reserve XI tonight, especially as Town seem to be heading upwards. I would like us to win tonight - and this XI is certainly good enough to do so - but the real objective is to get a glamourous tie against a big boy. We aren't going to win the League Cup as it's the preserve of Man city & the other PL clubs with squads full of internationals, but the run to the semi finals in 2011 was the sole highlight of a dismal 20 years of being a Town fan. | |

It’s the League Cup, and we should be able to win it. Leicester City in the 90s re established themselves with the competition, we need to be ambitious and look to win a competition like this, and it’s a route to Europe or are we too “big” for that? | | | |
