Our CBs were rightly up the pitch offering an attacking threat so they were out of the picture. From their point of view it was a perfectly executed counter attack in which they got the two key passes spot on and made the right runs to create space for the goalscorer. From our perspective, it was way too easy for them to engineer a four on two break, it only took one relatively easy forward pass for them to be on us and that's something we'll need to work on. The game was 47 minutes old, only 1-0, and at that time we'd been on the front foot for the last half hour of the first half and the start of the second, overcommitting and conceding like that on the break was very naive. | |
