If we look at Valentines Day as the start of our run-in, we had 60 points from 30 games before the Millwall game with 16 games to go. In the reverse 16 fixtures we harvested 40 points. If we matched that over the return games we would get 100 points.
We won 12 of those 16 games, drew 4 and lost 0. The draws were against Huddersfield (A), Rotherham (A), Birmingham (A), Norwich (H). If we match all 16 results and get 100 points we will be in the top 2.
So, adopting a method being used on other threads for comparison to previous seasons, comparing our progress against the reverse fixtures give us this so far:-
Millwall W 3-1, W 0-4. +0 points, 100 point target +0 points
Swansea W 3-2, W 1-2 + 0 points, 100 point target + 0 points
Which means we are still on target for 100 points if we match the remaining 14 games results from earlier this season.
Next game: Rotherham, need to match D 2-2 to stay on target.

Some of you may remember that towards the back end of last season, I had a thread going tracking whether or not 100 points, 100 goals (herein HPHG) was still achievable/on track. It was exciting going down to the final day!
Anyway, at the end of the thread I seem to recall I joked, "see you all next year" or similar. Well, here I am!
Like most (all?) of us, I never would have predicted that we'd have the start we've had. So I thought, with it being the international break, why not go a bit further with the idea this year? Because I'm a nerd, I thought I'd scrape our results after each game and plot them to see how well we're doing, and the following graph was the result...

It should be pretty explanatory - it shows Goals, Points, PPG, PPG required, and some extrapolated finishes
I'd be interested to hear if anyone had anything they'd like added
Anyway, like I say, all a bit of fun just to track how we're doing in a different way
