Southampton looked good, but not until after their equaliser. I think that quick response from them changed the game in their favour to be honest, It really seemed to knock the stuffing out of us and we started to get a little bit sloppy in our passing afterwards. It had shades of the Charlton draw to it, in how we reacted after conceding. The turning point was Hutchinson switching to the right side when Broady came on, we suddenly started to stretch them side to side, something we hadn't done unto then, Lief also got more space once the least popular Armstrong went off. Few of our players looked off the boil too, but I think Taylor has given McK something to think about. | |
