I was surprised at the Potter link, I wouldn't have thought he would be in a hurry to take over a side facing into a points deduction given he's presumably not going to be short of other offers, but maybe he was. He feels like one that could replace Southgate if he steps down after these Euros.

Cooper's a decent appointment, has premier league and Championship experience. Has the potential to be a messy season with Leicester but you would think a pretty sensible bet to ride that out and come back strongly IF they were to get relegated.

A pragmatic appointment of someone who plays pragmatic football. It'll be interesting to see how it goes for them - possibly a decent fit, as Leicester seemed to have the least flair of the promoted sides and their game was based on a solid back line first and foremost. Those are things Cooper will continue to bring.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Any word on Leicester’s possible points deduction? Hoping it will be resolved more quickly than the Man City cheats farce.
