But i think its going to be tough. I was impressed with Fulham when i watched their opening game. They looked fluid and passed it about well. They look like how we want to play but more advanced than us. Im also a tad concerned that in the final third we are struggling to link our passes up and create good opportunities. If we dont win this then we have Brighton away and lets be honest they have looked good too. We dont want to be 4 games in and no points on the board. But it is what it is. As someone else has said , in different words, we just have to be sanguine and enjoy the ride. You have to find some sort of pleasure in adversity. No crying about it and oh McKenna got that wrong today stuff. Whilst im rambling i dont know what to make of Phillips yesterday. He did fine. Maybe he needs to find his confidence. But we need that lad bossing the game. Hes more than capable. What a squad we have now though when our reserve 11 was that strong. We shouldn't have lost that but its another lesson. Poor Burgess, normally our most dependable when it comes to heading it out. Townsend was a good stand in for Davis too. Probably great vfm. He was playing super high like Davis and clarke tucked in much of the game. And clarke was the player who looked dangerous. Hes so sharp and comfortable. You have to enjoy the fact we have him and Hutchinson. I mean come on. As my son said its light years on from Gwion. My only concern is a striker who can get us 15 goals in the prem. Ali needs a season in the championship and getting a decent number of goals. Love George and delap also looks good, but im not sure they have the ability to get 15 plus. Anyway. Rambling from st andrews brew house in Nodge before cycling home. And writing this in the corner cos i fancied a beer beforehand even though im on my tod. | |
