Same thing happened with the group I went with to the 75 cup game in Brugge, although no 'rucking'(we had been drinking all night and day so a little boisturous) , Police wagons stopped and loaded 20(?) of us Town fans in and kept us detained until the game ended. No charges and the Police drove us all back to the stadium as the game ended. I remember the officers singing football songs and finding out Town had lost on the night 4-0 after winning the first leg 3-0 at Portman Rd. Apologies for highjacking but I'd never heard of Town fans being detained before a European game back in the 70s! |  | | |

I was at the home leg that we won 3-0.
Bobby had noticed that they played everything through Cruyff. Defenders got the ball, pass it to Cruyff and he would spray it around. The same with the midfielders.
So Bobby put Roger Osbourne on him with instructions that he was to stay close at all times.
The ball came to Cruyff and Roger was on him. He would try to pass it and Roger was in the way.
At one point, with the play going on at the other end, Cruyff ran to the corner flag to make a point and there was Roger 2 yards away !
Took probably the best player in Europe completely out of the game. Well done
Roger.
That probably explains Cruyff's extra motivation in the second leg. |  | | |
