I thought Luke’s game time would be limited for the reset of the season, he was *fine* in prior appearances this season in a back 4, although maybe a little laboured on the ball, often taking too long to play the pass.
I think as part of a back three he really benefits!
He’s passing the ball around well, sometimes driving into midfield and defending resolutely too, seems the strong parts of his game are front and centre when playing that sweeper role and having an additional DC gives him more immediate options to pass too, which appears to have stopped him dithering quite as much!
I thought he was great yesterday and solid against Arsenal too! [Post edited 31 Dec 2024 16:43]
