Rightly so there has been a decent amount of criticism across various platforms over the past 8 months specifically about us evolving into a group of individuals with no real 'team' unity.
Whilst it's certainly not a real statement signing, I think the McAteer signing goes some way to trying to shift the balance back.
He's clearly the type that KM is looking for on the right with regards to balance, he's played with a number of the lads already through ROI and is going to be more than happy to play his role this season without trying to be the main man.
With Clarke & Philogene we have those tricky/ talented profiles who demand the ball and make things happen.
I think this signing goes some way to establishing that balance once again with a young player who can play the role effectively for years to come.
