Having watched the highlights I wonder if he could play as a striker

The consensus is that he doesn't necessarily have a best position & Leicester fans don't feel he really fits into their system, which is why he's been a fringe player. I assume McKenna has an idea of what he wants from McAteer, but I don't believe he's a like-for-like Hutchinson or Burns replacement.
