Away tactics rethink? 19:12 - Sep 22 with 604 viewsRIPbobby

Whilst we did relatively well away from home with these tactics in the premier league do you think we should go more on the front foot with our embarrassment of riches we have within our squad. I get the point the manager probably wants to get a season of practising that kind of defending, but we are not playing to our strengths. Should we go a bit more gung-ho and go for a few goals or do we maintain the status quo. What are we thinking?

In 3.75 matches away from home this season we have lead for 0 minutes thus far.

Personally, if this is a core of a prem squad should we get promoted, it's kinda got to be done the way KM will want us to play in it,
we learned very quickly that playing KM football with non top 6 prem talent, doesn't work in the prem, so it will need something else. You can't really play one way this season and then use pre season to learn a whole new plan

We still have the 2nd best xga in the league (footy stats) which is a great start to the season, we've just got to eek out the mistakes and get that ball in the net from the chances we are creating, we have the 5th best XGS, so we're certainly creating the chances.

I do think some things need tweaking however, the defensive high line is a risk, and having defenders taking the ball past halfway etc.
