Frimmers FT and season thoughts 16:59 - Jan 24 with 290 views

Im afraid today imo does come down to poor selection whilst also some very poor execution.

I know some changes were required but some weren't. Or should I say maybe were but wrong changes made..

Our game is based on width and the likes of clarke need space to shine.

The likes of greaves egeli etc just didn't offer what we needed first half

2nd half.. after waiting 10 mins he changed it and we looked better but we then had the third go in and killed our momentum and we never got it back.

Games arent won at HT. But with our away results this season we cant afford first halfs away like we did today we just unfortunately dont have the luxury of having off days.

I do think weve come to a time where hirst is now hurting our play and
Weve seen without nunez we struggle with passing.. that was clear before we signed him so missing him is painful... weve got some days to get another ball player in.. I think thats needed.

Egeli. Send him on loan imo. We arent in a position to develop a player and development he needs.

We need to stick with having proper right sided players on the pitch and we need to concentrate the next weeks transfer targets on making sure that when KM wants to rotate when we do it doesnt hurt us.

So yeah. Today im afraid is on KM. Thats not letting the players off some of their performances as individuals were poor but you've got to give the players the tools to do their job and when youve got no forward to hold the ball or make runs or wide players who arent offering an out ball.. youre left with trying to play passes into tight midfield gaps that arent there.. lose the ball and concede attacks.

Expected. Not the result itself but not overly suprised we didn't win an away game

Without the first couple of months of season losses wouldnt be so bad when they happen. But having fallen behind the top two we just cant afford non wins.

If we cant sort out this away situation.. what happens if we end up in the playoffs.. thats not at home.

KMs cracked it at home. Time to really figure out away. And that is something hes struggled with this season hence we are I think 13th in the away table.

Home form will take us back into the top 2 battle. But I think the next month at least we will see ourselves fall to about 5th so itll look a bit scary but March we will bounce back.

Where we finish I dunno. If we didnt have the away issues we'd be easily top 2 at the end. So lets see how feb goes. I think its definitely a season defining month. Was it magilton that won at home but not away or the other way round?

They'll be lots of looks whos back tonight. Which will be true on some posters.

But they'll be some genuine frustration which is ok. Our home run has got us back in the top 2 chase. But these away games are indeed a frustration to follow.
