It's the time of year where, in the absence of other news, we begin to hear more about the Academy players. International call ups, successful loan spells, signing pro forms. I am sorry to say I don't know a great deal about our current crop. It always feels a shame that we don't really seem to have many academy players knocking on the door, especially when you see the impact of players like Nico O'Reilly and Max Dowman. Tudor Mendel-Idowu seems to get the most attention on here. Spent 10 years in the Chelsea academy from 8 - 18, was linked with a move to Barcelona but signed for Anderlecht, who he then left to join us.
Exciting player to watch, tricky right winger, good carrier of the ball with a lot of skill and pace.
Seemingly one of those annoying people and good at everything. Was a 'child genius' at a very young age and got a Kings Scholar admission to Eton, which are reserved for a very elite group of gifted kids in the UK. Speaks multiple languages as well.
