It's a measure of the man for me that my thoughts are still this morning at least as much for KMc and his family as they are for the club I have loved for nearly half a century.
Five years he's been here, but in that short time he became ITFC really didn't he? The calm, insightful, straight-talking (rookie!) manager who dragged us up, on and off the pitch, so far, so quickly, so excitingly, so confidently, so brilliantly.
We always knew he was a workaholic from the start, but just how much he put into it for five years - above and beyond any reasonable expectation except perhaps his own - is really swimming into focus and becoming clearer right now.
My club has some uncertainty now, but has got a great base and a great opportunity off the back of his monumental efforts, but my main thought is this: Kieran, when you step back into management, wherever and whenever that might be, please don't push yourself so hard; adjust your boundaries a little.
