Has GON ever been backed financially? 07:53 - Jun 21 with 1081 viewstiptreeblue

I may be wrong, but has any of his clubs ever seriously backed him financially? As I only remember him going into a club when the squad's were basically ready to go into the season, also Wolves tended to sell the best players without replacing them.

I believe you're correct. As he's only managed two clubs in his so far 4 year managerial career, ( less than KM ) I guess there's not many to chose from. He ( or anyone else ) will get the backing here.

Not particularly, apart from bringing in Cunha, most of the time he had players sold from under him.
Cunha a year later.

Bournemouth never gave him a chance to be supported financially and he fell out with BlueCo over their approach to transfers

Poll: If we were to spend £200m would you rather

O'Neil was managing Bournemouth when Cunha actually joined Wolves on loan under the previous manager in January 23 a deal to be made permanent in the summer which it was.

Nothing to do with O'Neil who wasn't made manager of Wolves until 9 August 2023

Farewell Kieran Mckenna, our best manager of the post Evans era so far.

He hasn’t. Which sounds a massive opportunity based on the market where he’s just worked. And a threat, he could be worse than Ashton, and I can’t see Mark letting any manager add value to a job he clearly enjoys, but isn’t very good at.

Time will tell.

If Nark can let go, the France dynamic could add huge value, see Sunderland and might be a factor in the decision.

Marks a control freak, with a god complex, and not amazing self awareness. But he’s not stupid.

We need 8-10 players if we’re honest.., that alone should highlight to Mark how good he’s been this last two years and £200 plus million at building a squad ready for this level. We actually need 20, but that’s not happening.

You’d hope he’d trust Gary and go and get some French league Un talent - some great players would walk here for a crack at the biggest profile league in the world.
