Shaw should still be there now, probably Trent as well. Konsa, Quansah, Burn, Spence are all good players, none are world class though. Can probably add O’Reilly to that list too, he’s still very young. Arguably Stones as well at the other end of the spectrum. I really don’t like the look of our defence and we certainly need James & Rice fit post Doctor Congo (assuming we progress).
I’d have taken 1 or both of Palmer / Foden as well as a different option. Feels like we’ve set ourselves up to be a dangerous counter attacking side with our forward options, but how many quick wingers do we need in a squad? It might well come into its own against better opposition, but creatively we’re relying heavily on Bellingham.
Still, it’s a results business. Tuchel has a good record of getting them to be fair, and in cups. 1 game at a time, let’s see where it takes us. |  | | |
