Lots of mention of squad size. How do we fix it. 13:49 - Jan 6 with 254 views

There has been a lot of talk about our squad reducing in size this year then being further hampered by the awful injury record we're carrying at the moment. Especially with the additional concerns now of skuse, chambers and kenlock. What I don't understand is how we will now fill that void with limited resources while improving our current player pool.

We have just lost varney who defined the role of squad player, but we do have some youth now cutting their teeth. I hope that going forward these become the answer.

What worries me is that in between we will see maybe another 2 years of large numbers of loan signings and old journeymen basically like the days of Jewell.

The answer lies in bulking up the squad in many areas, however we can't fund the solution as it would dilute funds to sign quality in needed areas particularly with regards to wage budget.

What are others views on this?
