Or did Edun sneak on when the referee wasn't looking? Because no one would know about the disparity going by the performance after the red card.

I had wondered about Donacien but he was superb today. Nsiala seems to have all the attributes of a Championship centre back. We tried to get the ball forward time and again, albeit with lesser and lesser reward.

There are still concerns - Chambers and Knudsen looked weak on the defensive left those losing Edun and having Nolan play there out of position couldn't have helped with support up the field. We don't have a creative outlet other than Edwards and we'll have to hope Nolan finds his feet quickly and our style doesn't really suit Harrison as he is being isolated time and time again, bearing in mind a central midfielder was playing a centre back for Villa.

Lots to work on but a lot of promise too. A day to look back on and think we are heading in the right direction.
