but he hasn't shown any great improvement on hurst yet
-as another poster says, results are worse, against poorer opposition
-hurst wasn't afraid to drop knudsen and spence to play more forward-thinking fbs like donacien
-hurst never (i think) played 3 dms, but gave chances to ward, dozzell and nolan who have more creativity and forward thinking
-for all the talk of him ignoring the academy, hurst started dozzell & downes & gave lankester his debut. pl has only started downes, and has now taken doz out of the 18 entirely
-hurst's starting & finishing teams were marginally younger than pl's.
hope lambert can turn it round, but he needs to alter his selection policy fast |  |

not at all, overall performances are better, but not by enough, we've had good bits and bad bits with both managers.
overall results are worse in more winnable games | |
