Something new had been tried and it was exciting to see how it would play out. I was expecting much different performances to what I'd been used to, with an entirely new team. But Doctor Who just isn't working for me. The stories aren't helping her as they haven't been great but I do think they'd have been so much better with Tennant or Smith. I was pleased we got a female Doctor and I really didn't like Capaldi, even though I know I will say he was superb in some of the really outstanding episodes, but having given her half a season or whatever we are at now, I'm just watching them out of habit rather than excitement. I thought the initial episode showed promise and that I might grow to like her. Yaz is utterly pointless, Ryan is alright and I don't mind Graham, although I do think Bradley Walsh surprised me with how well he could act in other stuff but doesn't really cut it for me here. It's one of my loves outside ITFC and it's almost entirely mirroring us! | |
